Job Overview:-
Reporting to the Marketing Director for Beverages, this role will be responsible for:
-
Driving the strategic direction of our Energy Portfolio through an aggressive growth plan across both existing brands and platforms as well as new and emerging energy spaces.
-
Developing, managing, and implementing all aspects of the Marketing Mix including (but not limited to) expansion and growth strategies, communications, innovation, activation, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy:
-
Devise & execute Energy Category Portfolio Strategy for growth of existing portfolio and expansion into new energy occasions, both within current brand footprints and new to business utilising key consumer facing tools (U&A, Demand Spaces, Product review, Global Playbooks etc) and working in close collaboration with Insights Manager.
Brand Strategy:

Brand Planning - leveraging the Growth Navigator Principles and together with the AU and NZ bottler partners deliver the Brand Growth Strategies and initiatives for our Energy Brands that will deliver the business KPIS on volume, share and penetration for both the short and long term.

Lead the development of the 5yr Innovation strategy for Energy including identification of NPD to drive new occasions or appeal to new buyers and influence the global team to find the optimal outcome for Australia understand the role of the market (not create). Ensure stickability of NPD.
- Develop a deep understanding of the consumer with the ability to combine multiple data sources to create best in class marketing strategies and plans. Working closely with the Insights Manager to create campaigns that show a deep grasp of the core human truth that can be leveraged for PepsiCo brands to drive affinity.

Creative Excellence and Media Transformation – utilising our TCP and creative excellence tools ensure Human Centricity is at the heart of every brief and that the agency village is one voice for delivering excellence in creative and media that results in measurable impact and growth (via MMM, CX, ADA, Brand Health and commercial metrics).
- Po1 - Working with the Smiths Marketing Leadership team to identify opportunities for collaboration and bringing alignment between Schweppes, Smiths and PepsiCo. Embed this within the businesses and team to ensure that it becomes a way of working.

Managing and tracking the energy portfolio investment E2E looking for global L&S opportunities that will ensure measurable ROI and high % of working spend.

Ensure local trademark protection and mitigate legal risk/exposure.
Global / Regional Alignment:
-
Build a relationship with the Global Anchor Market for Energy and other relevant developed market Energy teams for partnership on innovation and communication.
Business Strategy Development and Alignment Process with Bottlers:
-
Work closely with the Bottler across both AU and NZ to deliver joint business KPIS – utilising 3yr JBP, Annual AOP and brand planning processes

Demonstrate an understanding and experience the trading environment to enable optimum consumer activity. Be able to 'think' from the retailer and shopper perspective

Influence and work with Sales Execution to develop tailored activity for customers to ensure alignment with the brand strategy seamlessly through the line

Provide marketing support to new business pitches on strategic accounts. Work with Sales and global team to identify new business opportunities.
Agency / Supplier Management:

Develop effective and integrated working relationship with all agencies involved on key brands. (Packaging, Insight, Research, Strategy, Media, Creative, Digital) Ensure they feel and behave like an extension of the brand team.

Manage, align and inspire key marketing agencies to develop consumer preferred and competitively advantaged insights and initiatives, making sure we have an efficient process.
Qualifications:
- Strong marketing strategy and brand planning experience.

Expertise across communications, digital/social content, media, innovation, research, and agency management.

Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Data-driven with strong analytical and commercial acumen.

Highly organized, adaptable, and an effective communicator.

Creative problem solver with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.

Minimum 6 years of sales and/or marketing experience, ideally within FMCG or franchise environments.

Proven experience in brand management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership.

Track record of delivering successful innovation and NPD projects.

Experience managing budgets and driving business outcomes through strategic marketing initiatives.
