What your day could look like
As an Operational Services Officer - Catering, you'll play a valued role in helping people feel cared for during their time in hospital. Every meal you help deliver is part of someone's recovery journey, bringing comfort, routine, and a sense of dignity when it's needed most. You'll be part of a close-knit team that takes pride in what they do and supports one another to get the job done well.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Preparing and delivering meals that nourish patients and support their recovery
Working as part of a team to keep services running smoothly, even during busy shifts
Keeping kitchens and service areas safe, clean and well-organised
Creating positive moments through friendly, respectful interactions with patients and colleagues
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who finds meaning in helping others, even in the smallest ways. You take pride in doing things properly, show up with a positive attitude, and treat everyone with kindness and respect. You understand that behind every task is a person, and that the care you put into your work can brighten someone's day. In a fast-paced environment, you stay steady, adaptable and focused, always ready to support your team and contribute to something bigger than yourself.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Experience in catering, hospitality or food service environments
Confidence working to schedules and following food safety practices
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A reliable approach and commitment to maintaining safe, clean spaces
You'll stand out from the crowd if you've worked in healthcare or large-scale catering and enjoy the variety of shift work in a 7-day service.
Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage into your work, helping create a safe, supportive environment where people feel respected and cared for.
This is more than a job, it's a chance to be part of a community where your work helps people feel seen, supported and valued every single day.
