Join our growing Valuations and Financial Modelling team in Melbourne as an experienced Senior Analyst or Manager, delivering valuation and financial due diligence services across a broad range of industries, engagement types and levels of complexity.
Your role, your contribution!
- Manage and support valuation engagements end-to-end, from SMEs and high-growth private companies through to large listed entities, covering tax and accounting valuations, impairment testing, purchase price allocation, corporate restructuring, and independent expert reports.
- Prior experience in the valuation of intangible assets and/or options and derivatives is highly regarded but not essential.
- Manage and support financial due diligence engagements, supporting transactions across a range of deal sizes and sectors.
- Build and review financial models, including developing models from scratch using best-practice techniques and reviewing complex existing models using Excel and other review tools.
- Lead client relationships, engaging proactively to understand each client's business and value drivers, and identifying how Findex can best support their needs.
- Conduct research and analysis, including industry research and analysis of comparable companies and precedent transactions, to support valuation and modelling work.
- Write clear, well-structured valuation and financial modelling reports.
- Contribute to business development by preparing (Senior Analyst) or leading (Manager) proposals, engagement letters, and pitch documents, with exposure to M&A advisory, capital raisings, IPOs, and due diligence.
- Coach and review the work of junior team members, supporting their development while maintaining quality standards.
Manage delivery, budgets, and compliance, meeting deadlines, achieving chargeable hours and fee targets, and keeping work papers and client files in line with Findex requirements.

What you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Law or Economics.
- At least 2 – 4 years’ experience (for Senior Analyst applicants) or 5+ years’ experience (for Manager applicants) as an Analyst, Senior Analyst or Manager in a corporate finance team in a large firm, investment bank or boutique advisory firm, primarily in the areas of Valuations and Financial Modelling.
- Strong Excel skills and experience in reviewing and/or building financial (three-way) models.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience writing reports.
- Strong technical knowledge of business and equity valuations.
- Demonstrated experience leading engagement teams and owning client relationships end-to-end for Manager applicants.
Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications highly regarded but not required.
