Temporary opportunity to increase research capacity and capability by providing leadership, mentoring and assistance to staff within the department, while also supporting clinicians to generate, review and implement contemporary evidence-based clinical knowledge into everyday practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Apply specialised clinical research methodology knowledge to develop and coordinate a Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) Physiotherapy research program based on agreed research priorities with key stakeholders, and that achieves national recognition, develops an international profile and contributes to healthcare outcomes and standards of clinical practice.
Enhance research capacity and capabilities within the RBWH Physiotherapy Department by providing advice, consultation and support, research practice supervision, training and mentoring to less experienced clinicians and physiotherapy students undertaking research, evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.
Apply high level evidence and judgement in advising senior clinical and operational staff of the department regarding service delivery, equipment, technology and the prioritisation and development of Allied Health Professions' research and clinical services.
