About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiac Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Cardiac and Coronary Care Unit team on a permanent full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
Our unit consists of: 25 beds - 16 Cardiac beds & 9 Coronary Care beds.
We provide specialised care for patients recovering from:

Heart and lung surgery
-
Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
-
Structural Heart procedures
-
Pacemaker insertions and cardiac rhythm management procedures

Acute cardiac conditions requiring close monitoring and intervention

Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment
-
Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
-
Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures
-
Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration
-
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
-
Support patients and families through recovery and education
-
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.
About You:
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Minimum 12 months’ experience working in an acute setting (Cardiac preferred)

Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations

Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations
-
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Remuneration:
A competitive salary: A base hourly rate of $40.24 - $56.52 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (*NSW RN/Midwife Gr1-Gr8*)
