TriCab is an Australian-owned manufacturer of engineered cable solutions, supplying customers across infrastructure, mining, energy and industrial markets. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support the ongoing development, security and optimisation of our enterprise IT environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging infrastructure professional looking to broaden their technical capability across networking, cybersecurity, virtualisation, cloud technologies and enterprise systems within a complex manufacturing environment.
About The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining and continually improving our enterprise infrastructure across multiple Australian and international sites.
Working within our IT team, you'll contribute to projects involving network optimisation, infrastructure consolidation, cybersecurity, server administration and cloud integration while supporting business-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites
- Configure and support LAN, WAN, wireless and VPN environments
- Monitor and optimise network performance, reliability and security
- Configure and maintain enterprise firewall environments and security policies
- Support Windows and Linux server infrastructure and virtualisation platforms
- Assist with cloud infrastructure integration and hybrid environments
- Maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions
- Perform infrastructure audits and contribute to network simplification projects
- Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation and network diagrams
- Support CCTV and physical security systems where required (Blue Iris Servers)
- Assist in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and provide technical escalation support
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys solving technical problems and wants to continue developing your infrastructure engineering career.
You will ideally possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management & Technology or a related discipline
- Approximately 12 months (or more) experience in an Infrastructure, Network or Systems Engineering role
- Exposure to enterprise networking including VLANs, switching, routing and wireless technologies
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs and network security principles
- Experience maintaining Lead Jet printer networks
- Exposure to virtualisation technologies such as Proxmox, VMware or Hyper-V
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desirable
- Experience with WatchGuard firewalls
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST or cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience working within manufacturing, industrial or production environments
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments
