Experienced Male Disability Support Worker – Whittlesea, VIC
Grace Quality Care Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate, mature and reliable Male Disability Support Worker to support a gentleman in his late 50s living in Whittlesea, VIC.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and supporting participants to live independently while remaining active in the community.
About the Participant
Our participant lives with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other complex health conditions that affect his mobility, endurance and daily functioning. He is looking for a support worker who is patient, dependable and enjoys meaningful conversation.
The Ideal Support Worker
We are looking for someone who is:
- A mature male with a calm, friendly and positive personality.
- Christian or has a Christian background (preferred), as this aligns with the participant's personal values.
- Has an interest in AFL and enjoys chatting about football.
- Respectful, compassionate and able to build trust.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to providing quality support.
Duties Include
- Personal care assistance.
- Assistance with dressing and daily living activities.
- Community access and social outings.
- Transport to appointments and activities.
- Light domestic assistance.
- Meal preparation.
- Encouraging independence and participation in the community.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain if required).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Reliable, fully insured vehicle.
- Current Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (preferred).
- Experience supporting participants with neurological or physical disabilities is highly regarded.
- Manual handling experience is desirable.
