Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing marketing, advertising and promotional initiatives that support Madken’s online retail, trade and commercial customer channels. The role will focus on increasing brand awareness, supporting sales objectives, analysing customer and market data, and identifying opportunities to promote Madken’s range of washroom accessories, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, hospitality supplies, safety equipment, and related business essentials across Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and organise advertising policies, marketing campaigns and promotional programs to support Madken’s sales objectives across online, trade and business-to-business channels.
- Advise management on marketing and advertising strategies designed to reach target markets, build consumer and business customer awareness, and promote the features and benefits of Madken’s products and services.
- Coordinate the production and delivery of advertising and marketing campaigns, including artwork, copywriting, digital content, media placement, email campaigns, website promotions and supplier-led product promotions, within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Develop and implement digital marketing initiatives including website optimisation, search engine optimisation (SEO), Google Ads campaigns, email marketing and social media campaigns to improve online visibility and customer engagement.
- Analyse data relating to customer behaviour, purchasing patterns, product demand, campaign performance and market preferences to support informed marketing decisions.
- Interpret and predict current and future consumer and business purchasingtrends relevant to washroom, hygiene, cleaning, hospitality, safety and workplace supply categories.
- Research potential demand and market characteristics for new and existing products, and collect and analyse statistical information to identify growth opportunities.
- Support business growth and development by preparing, implementing andreviewing marketing objectives, policies, promotional calendars and campaign programs.
- Commission, coordinate and undertake market research to identify opportunities for new products, existing product lines, customer segments and sales channels.
- Advise on marketing elements including product mix, pricing, advertising, sales promotion, selling methods, distribution channels and customer engagement strategies.
- Maintain and optimise Madken's eCommerce website, including website content, product information, digital merchandising and promotional material to support customer engagement, online sales and brand consistency.
- Create, schedule and monitor marketing content for Madken’s websites, online stores, social media platforms, email marketing campaigns and digital advertising channels.
- Monitor campaign outcomes, prepare reports and provide insights to management on marketing performance, return on investment and opportunities for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers, sales staff, customer service staff and external service providers to ensure marketing activities are accurate, timely and aligned with business objectives.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant qualification in marketing, business, communications, advertising or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns, preferably in retail, e-commerce, wholesale, trade supply, business-to-business or product-based environments.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, website promotions, email marketing, social media content, search engine marketing and campaign analytics.
- Ability to analyse customer, market and sales data and translate insights into practical marketing recommendations.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear marketing copy, product messaging, campaign briefs and performance reports.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple campaigns, suppliers and deadlines within budget and time constraints.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of pricing, product positioning, sales promotion and customer engagement strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, customer-focused team.
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week. The salary range is AUD $85,000 to $95,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience. The role is based in Caringbah, NSW 2229 and is offered on an ongoing basis, subject to business requirements and the successful applicant’s eligibility to work in Australia.
