Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting a healthcare team that makes a real difference? We’re looking for an Administration Officer to join our dedicated team at the Orroroo Hospital and Orroroo Community Home. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while providing essential administrative support in a welcoming, person-centred environment.
The Role
As our Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality, confidential administrative support to staff, clients, and visitors. You’ll manage the hospital’s busy reception area and switchboard, while maintaining accurate resident records and contributing to the smooth functioning of the resident management system.
Your work will involve maintaining data systems such as Chiron and Working Systems, managing document storage and retention, and supporting reporting and accreditation processes. You’ll also create professional documentation using the Microsoft Office suite, develop and maintain spreadsheets, and take and type minutes for meetings. This position offers the chance to be a key part of a collaborative, community-focused team.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience providing confidential and professional secretarial and administrative support.
- Strong knowledge of office administration processes and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, email, and desktop publishing.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and principles.
