Melbourne CBD | Hybrid Working Model | Contract Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Agile Business Analyst to join a high-profile digital transformation program within a leading Victorian Government environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex business and technology initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver impactful solutions.
This contract is expected to commence in August 2026 and run through to December 2026, with potential extension opportunities.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements using Agile methodologies.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, mock-ups, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to elicit, validate, and prioritise requirements.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, product owners, and delivery teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Analyse and document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes.
- Support solution design activities and contribute to system integration specifications.
- Participate in solution walkthroughs, demonstrations, and stakeholder showcases.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, defect management, and issue resolution.
- Act as the key liaison between business and technical teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 3 years' experience in system solution analysis or business analysis.
- Proven experience delivering Agile Business Analysis or Functional Analysis services.
- Strong experience documenting requirements through user stories, process flows, wireframes, screen mock-ups, and functional specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience facilitating workshops and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong process re-engineering and process mapping skills, including As-Is and To-Be process modelling.
- Experience developing system integration specifications and supporting integration initiatives.
- Experience with solution demonstrations, showcases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and within Agile delivery teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
