How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

Work with key stakeholders to manage the overall performance of all program related efforts
-
Manage schedule, budget and technical outcomes throughout the entire program development lifecycle
-
Manage and continually evaluate costs
-
Communicate program goals internally and ensure appropriate allocation of resources
- Monitor the progress of internal and external activities to ensure timelines are met
-
Lead regular review meetings with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and communicate progress and issues
-
Prepare, coordinate, and chair presentations and design reviews
-
Actively consult with relevant people and departments to ensure program activities are achieved and issues are resolved quickly
-
Provide comprehensive reporting as required by the Chief Executive Officer
-
Work with the Human Resource Department in the recruitment and training of employees.

Provide strong leadership, motivation, support, and direction in the day to day running of employees reporting directly and indirectly to this position, ensuring the department is managed effectively by setting clear targets / KPI’s and monitoring these in line with expectations

Manage performance of the team, ensuring that any shortfalls in performance are managed and reported

Complete Performance Appraisals in line with Gilmour Space policy and procedures
-
Ensure that the team receive adequate training and development necessary to meet the needs of the business

Other duties as requested by Management
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
-
5+ years of experience in program delivery or other similar projects
-
Demonstration of strong leadership skills
-
Hands on experience managing schedules
-
Well-developed negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related fields preferred
-
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deliver reliable and expeditious results across multiple priorities

Demonstrates personal responsibility and accountability for actions and decisions
-
Self-motivated and results oriented with a high level of attention to detail
-
Experience in strategy, development, and execution of plans/projects
-
Strong interpersonal communications skills with internal and external entities

Working experience of ERP systems (SAP, Fishbowl, other)

Previous management or program leadership experience

Positive, “can-do” attitude and ability to work in a very high paced and dynamic environment
-
Ability to handle pressure and cope with sudden surges in work volume
-
Strong analytical, verbal, and written skills
-
Good understanding and working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation/requirements
-
Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and environmental management
-
NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
-
Advance level in Microsoft Office applications
