About the role:
The primary purpose of this position is to support Councils Engineering Department, with a focus on assisting the Roads Construction and/or Maintenance team. You will work across a range of projects and may be required to assist with broader works operations, including roads, infrastructure, and depot activities, depending on operational requirements.
Duties may include:
- Assist with road construction and maintenance works
- General labouring duties across Council works
- Operation of plant and equipment (where licenced)
- Support depot and works operations as required
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in civil road works and/or general labouring
- Road construction or RMPC experience (desirable)
- Current C class driver’s licence (essential)
- HR, HC, MC or heavy machinery tickets (desirable)
- Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team
