Due to our ongoing success and continued growth, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated full-time Painting Trades Worker/ Painter to join the APMS team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for industrial painting, coating, and surface preparation on various sites. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Executing Ultra High Pressure (UHP) and High Pressure (HP) Water Blasting and tank cleaning tasks.
- Preparing surfaces for painting and coating by removing old paint, rust, and debris.
- Applying industrial coatings and paints to various structures and equipment to protect against corrosion and wear.
- Selecting and mixing coatings and paints to match specifications.
- Operating and maintaining specialized surface preparation and application equipment safely.
- Performing alternative duties in line with your capabilities and skill sets (appropriate training will be provided where required).
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
- A relevant Trade Certificate in Painting and Decorating or Surface Preparation (or equivalent overseas qualification/experience).
- Demonstrated experience working within shutdown environments or on mine sites.
- The capacity and flexibility to work various shift rosters as required by project demands.
- A valid, open Driver’s Licence.
- A valid Working in Confined Spaces ticket.
- A valid Working at Heights ticket.
- A highly proactive approach, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & LAB DAS
