Counsellor (Subcontractor)

Haven Therapy Co is seeking an experienced and compassionate counsellor to join our growing private practice on a subcontractor basis.
This opportunity would suit a counsellor who is looking to gradually build a caseload, is approaching retirement, returning to practice, or already has an established private practice and is seeking a small number of additional referrals.

About the Role
We are looking for a counsellor to provide counselling services primarily via telehealth,or for the right canditate a mix of telehealth and in clinic appointments from East Maitland.
This is a subcontractor position with referrals provided by the practice. Caseloads will commence gradually, with approximately 1-10 client hours per week available initially and potential for growth over time.
You will have the flexibility to determine your availability and work around your existing commitments.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold relevant counselling qualifications
- Be registered with ACA, PACFA, AASW or an equivalent professional body
- Hold current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Have a current Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be comfortable working independently while remaining connected to a team environment
- Be committed to providing ethical, evidence-informed and client-centred care
Experience working with children, adolescents, NDIS participants, neurodiversity, trauma, grief and loss, or older adults will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour

- counselling: 1 year (Preferred)
