An Casual opportunity has become available for an experienced Machine Operator to join the team at High Calibre Earthworks. As an integral member of our team, you will play a vital role in operating and maintaining machinery to support our earthworks projects.
What you'll expect from us
- Weekly hours typically range from 20-40 hours depending on weather conditions.
- $35 - $55 per hour plus super - depending on experience
- Operating a 2T modern combo
- 6 speed manual tipper truck - MR license required
- Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work some weekends if interested
- Jobs predominately based in Brisbane with occasional sites within the Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Ipswich region
- Ability to take machines and truck home, no need to go to a yard every morning
What you'll be doing
- Efficiently operating a 2T mini combo including an excavator and skid steer in an safe manner
- Carrying out routine maintenance and pre-start checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Identifying and immediately reporting any issues or faults with machinery
- General earthworks
- Driving to and from site with machines
- driving to and from dumping sites to dispose of dirt, concrete etc
What we're looking for
- Proven experience within the industry as a Plant & Machinery Operator with a minimum of 2 years experience on both excavator and skid steer loaders.
- A Minimum MR open class valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain relevant plant operator tickets
- White card or the ability to obtain one
- Proficient in the operation of Excavators, Skid Steers and Tipper Trucks
- Ability to perform routine pre start checks, grease and clean machines regularly
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- A commitment to safety and a demonstrated understanding of WHS regulations
