The renowned Highway Hotel, part of the Palmer Hospitality Group, is seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our dining team and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. You will play a key role in maintaining high service standards, managing staff, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations including service, staffing, and workflow coordination
- Supervise, train, and mentor front-of-house team members
- Ensure high standards of food and beverage service are consistently delivered
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering of supplies
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
- Work closely with kitchen and management teams to optimise service delivery
- Assist in achieving financial targets including revenue and cost control
Skills and Experience Required
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar supervisory role
- Proven experience in a busy hospitality or dining environment
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
