Full-Time Deli Manager
We are an established, family-owned gourmet grocery and delicatessen in Sydney looking for an experienced Full-Time Deli Manager to lead our deli department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous delicatessen experience who is passionate about quality food, customer service and taking ownership of a busy, well-established deli.
About the Role
As our Deli Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the deli department, ensuring it is well stocked, professionally presented and operating efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily operations of the deli department
- Ordering and maintaining stock levels across all deli products
- Building and maintaining supplier relationships
- Managing stock rotation, quality control and minimising waste
- Preparing and merchandising premium meats, cheeses, antipasto and specialty food products
- Ensuring the department is presented to a high standard at all times
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Delivering exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- Working closely with management to continue developing and improving the deli offering
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working in a delicatessen (essential)
- Experience ordering deli products and managing inventory
- Strong knowledge of premium meats, cheeses, antipasto and specialty food products
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A positive, hands-on attitude with a strong work ethic
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
