SUVA SHAKTI PTY LTD T/as Seahorse Brasserie is a hospitality business based in Australia running an additional venue inside Narooma Golf Club located at 1 Ballingalla Street Narooma NSW 2546 Australia . We are looking for passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our growing team. This role ensures the efficient operation of the kitchen, supports the development of kitchen staff, and contributes to providing an exceptional dining experience for all patrons.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Lead and support the kitchen team during service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal updates.
- Manage preparation, ordering and stock control
- Ensure food safety and kitchen hygiene standards are maintained.
- Supervise, train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Assist with rostering, ordering and stock control.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef, minimum 1- 2 years.
- Ability to work full-time.
- Flexible to work on a rotating roster.
