Kareela Aviation is a Sydney-based helicopter maintenance organisation specialising in the maintenance and support of BK117 helicopters.
About the role
As an AME, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient maintenance of various helicopters, including Helitreck's aerial fire fighting fleet of BK117's.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled helicopter maintenance
- Carrying out inspections, servicing and defect rectification
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Assisting with component removal, installation and maintenance
- Completing accurate maintenance documentation and records
- Working in accordance with CASA requirements, approved maintenance data and company procedures
- Supporting maintenance activities at remote and regional locations when required
- Working collaboratively with other maintenance and operational personnel
About you
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in helicopter maintenance
- Previous experience working on turbine-powered helicopters
- A strong commitment to aviation safety and quality workmanship
- Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, organised and self-motivated approach to your work
- The ability and willingness to work at remote and regional locations when required
- A current Australian driver's licence
- The ability to obtain and maintain an ASIC

Experience with the following aircraft, engines or systems will be highly regarded:
- BK117
- Bell 206 / 206L
- UH-1H
- LTS101
- Rolls-Royce 250
- Arriel 1
- T53
BK117 experience will be particularly advantageous
Pay: $75,000.00 – $87,500.00 per year
