About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, including those with complex behaviours and personal care needs.
You will play a key role in promoting:

Support will always be tailored to each participant’s individual goals and needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support participants with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks
- Assist with community access, outings, and social participation
- Provide support in line with individual care plans
- Monitor participant safety and wellbeing and report concerns to management
- Deliver 1:1 or small group support based on individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and communication records
- Contribute to individual support plans and track participant progress
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, case managers, and allied professionals
- Assist in developing and implementing behaviour support programs
- Act as a key worker when required, including preparing monthly progress reports
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistent service delivery
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and planning processes
- Provide support to other staff when needed
- Follow incident management policies and report all incidents appropriately
- Maintain records and documentation using Shiftcare software
- Keep certifications and compliance documents up to date
About You
Essential:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Experience with personal care and/or complex behaviours
- Right to work in Australia
- Valid Driver Licence
Preferred (or willingness to obtain):
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent
- NDIS Orientation Module
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- National Hand Hygiene Certificate
- 100 points of ID
