Z Protection Services is seeking a professional, reliable and well-presented Security Officer to join our team at a premium retail site in Melbourne CBD.
This role is suited to an officer with strong customer service skills, confidence working in a fast-paced retail environment, and the ability to maintain a visible and proactive security presence.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a professional and welcoming security presence at the store entrance
- Monitor customer and staff activity to assist in preventing theft and loss
- Conduct regular floor walks and internal patrols
- Monitor access points, fitting rooms, stock areas and exit points as directed
- Respond appropriately to suspicious behaviour, incidents and security concerns
- Liaise professionally with store management and staff
- Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation
- Contact police or emergency services where required and follow company procedures
- Maintain a calm, customer-focused approach at all times
To be successful, you will have:
- Current Victorian Security Licence, including Security Guarding
- Previous retail security, loss prevention, concierge or customer-facing security experience preferred
- Strong communication and conflict-management skills
- A professional presentation and confident manner
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the shift
- Reliable transport and strong punctuality
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Working with Children Check preferred
This is an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate, with support from an experienced operations team and opportunities for additional shifts across retail, mobile patrol, events and static security.

Pay: $35.53 – $78.16 per hour
