NIIM Clinic is seeking an experienced, motivated, and clinically competent Exercise Physiologist to join our busy medical practice as a sole trader.
You will deliver high-quality exercise physiology assessment, intervention, education, and support for people with chronic health conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, and wellbeing goals. You will work closely with allied health colleagues to contribute to holistic care pathways and outcomes.
We have equipped consulting suites, and can offer you part- or full-time hours.

Our light-filled, multi-story practice in Hawthorn is conveniently located and recently refurbished to improve patient experiences. The NIIM Clinic has onsite capability to host Group Therapy Sessions for anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol addiction, stress, and pain management.
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments including physical function, history, risk factors, and goal setting.
- Design and implement evidence-based exercise and physical activity programs tailored to individual health needs (chronic disease management, injury recovery, functional rehabilitation).
- Monitor, evaluate, and refine exercise prescriptions to maximise outcomes and safety.
- Provide education and coaching on physical activity, lifestyle modification, and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with NIIM clinicians, researchers, and external referrers to support coordinated care and client wellbeing.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exercise Physiology or a closely relevant discipline.
- Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) or eligibility for accreditation.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ clinical experience in exercise physiology, chronic disease management, rehabilitation, or community health settings.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical assessment, exercise prescription, and outcome evaluation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
