As a Senior Investigator you will:
Conduct high quality and timely complex investigations, preliminary inquiries and reviews in relation to allegations of suspected corrupt conduct, as defined under the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 as well as allegations that fall within the scope of the Public Service Commission's (PSC) Conduct and Performance Excellence (CaPE) framework.
Provide advice, support and guidance to managers and supervisors through a partnership approach, on prevention strategies and incidents involving corrupt conduct and conduct categorised within the CaPE framework, thereby enhancing the department's capacity to deal more effectively with such issues.
Contribute effectively to the achievement of team goals and improvements as a key member of the Professional Standards team.
Identify issues under the Human Rights Act 2019.
Effectively monitor matters being dealt with by operational areas to ensure timely resolution as required.
Establish and maintain liaison with the Crime and Corruption Commission and other external law enforcement bodies and other monitoring agencies.
Actively maintain Professional Standards' records, case and file management systems.
Effectively manage public interest disclosures submitted under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 in accordance with legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures.
Demonstrated skills in contemporary investigative practice and the ability to autonomously conduct complex workplace investigations, preliminary inquiries and reviews.
