About the role:
Continuous Improvement, Uplift and Technology (CIUT) is Victoria Police's enterprise delivery function, bringing together strategy, governance, innovation, technology and delivery. CIUT exists to strengthen Victoria Police's ability to deliver organisational reform and technology outcomes consistently, transparently and at scale, ensuring organisational intent is translated into operational capability that improves community safety.
Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner – Continuous Improvement, Uplift & Technology, the Business Manager (CIUT) works with a diverse range of intra- and inter-departmental stakeholders and manages several teams with responsibility for the Command's budget and finances, human resource and establishment services and the management of a large stable of IT-related commercial agreements.

Your duties will include:
- Lead financial planning, budget management, forecasting and reporting for the Command.

Manage workforce establishment, recruitment governance and organisational workforce planning.

Oversee ICT contract management and commercial governance activities.

Coordinate strategic funding submissions, business cases and investment initiatives.

Ensure compliance with corporate governance, audit and assurance obligations.

Provide high-level business advice to executives on financial, workforce and operational matters.

Build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of intra- and inter-departmental stakeholders to support delivery of strategic outcomes.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

Proven experience leading teams and managing organisational functions to achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trusted partnerships and deliver customer-focused services.
-
Advanced analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable advice for diverse audiences.
-
Sound financial management capabilities, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance reporting.
-
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing circumstances and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in b usiness, finance, management or a related discipline are desirable.

This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
