The role leads the activities of the Engineering and Maintenance department and is responsible for establishing and embedding business practices and processes to support the effective and efficient day to day operations of the engineering and maintenance team. This includes EAM, all maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, site services and parts inventory management. The position is also responsible for driving and support continuous improvement within the team and production.

Here’s where you come in!
Your responsibilities, at a glance, will include:

Lead and manage the Engineering, Maintenance and Validation to ensure safe, reliable and compliant manufacturing operations.

Oversee maintenance, preventative maintenance, calibration and Engineering Asset Management (EAM) systems to maximise equipment reliability and plant performance.

Manage site capital budget, engineering budgets and site infrastructure improvements, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in compliance with GMP, WHS and environmental requirements.

Provide engineering leadership across equipment qualification, technical support, quality investigations, continuous improvement and regulatory inspections.

Develop, coach and lead the engineering team while driving a high-performance culture focused on safety, reliability and operational excellence.

Ensure compliance with GMP, TGA, FDA, EPA, Australian Standards and internal quality systems, policies and procedures.

Build strong relationships with Operations, Quality, EHS, Manufacturing and external contractors to deliver engineering solutions that support business objectives.

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance, operational efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness.

You'll also need to hold a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or maintenance related field and Minimum five years’ experience in maintenance reliability and the maintenance of pharmaceutical, food and beverage or similar equipment in a cGMP environment
