About the Role
Tunstall Fresh Market is looking for a reliable, hardworking casual team member to join our checkout team. This isn't just a "scan and go" job — we want someone who takes pride in doing things properly, who shows up on time, works hard during their shift, and genuinely cares about giving customers a great experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating the register accurately and efficiently
- Handling cash, card, and EFTPOS transactions
- Greeting and helping customers with a friendly, positive attitude
- Keeping the checkout area clean, tidy, and well stocked
- Helping out with other tasks around the store when needed (this is a hands-on team — everyone pitches in)
- Working well with the rest of the team, especially during busy periods
What We're Looking For
- Someone who's reliable — if you say you'll be there, you're there
- A strong work ethic — you're not watching the clock, you're getting things done
- Good attitude with customers, even when things get busy
- Willing to learn and take feedback on board
- Available to work weekends (shifts can be 10–13 hours) — please only apply if this suits your availability
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not essential — attitude matters more to us than experience
Pay & Hours
- Casual position, $30–$40 per hour depending on experience and availability
- Regular weekend shifts
