We are seeking a Campus Student Support Assistant to join our Sydney campus in Term 3, 2026 on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Campus Student Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a student with complex learning, communication barriers and behavioural needs, including Autism.
- Work closely with the Learning Support Teacher and campus team to implement structured strategies that support the student’s academic, social and emotional development.
- Assist the student to engage in classroom activities and school routines, supporting participation in learning, transitions and daily tasks.
- Implement individualised learning and behaviour support strategies designed for students with complex needs, including visual supports, structured routines and communication tools.
- Provide personal care support where required, ensuring the student’s dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Support the use of communication systems, including AAC, visual schedules and other strategies to assist expressive and receptive language.
- Reinforce self-regulation strategies, including programs such as Zones of Regulation and other evidence-based supports.
- Maintain clear communication with the Learning Support Teacher and campus staff, ensuring consistency in the student’s support plan.
- Contribute to a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment for the student.

About You
The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) and have demonstrated experience supporting students with complex needs across a range of disabilities, including Autism, communication barriers and additional learning needs, ideally within a specialised or inclusive educational setting.
You will be confident providing one-to-one support, working closely with the Learning Support Teacher and campus team to implement structured and consistent strategies that support engagement, communication, self-regulation and participation in learning, while maintaining dignity, respect and confidentiality at all times.
A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required for this role.
