Details: We are seeking a highly capable and strategic leader to fill the role of Executive Branch Manager, Health System Performance Branch on a long-term basis.
Reporting to the Executive Group Manager, Health System Policy and Performance (HSPP), you will lead the Branch’s work program, drive performance outcomes, and foster a strong, collaborative team culture.
This role is pivotal in overseeing ACT health system assurance functions, including leadership of Local Health Network (LHN) assurance processes, Service Funding Agreement negotiations and monitoring, and contributing to implementation of the National Health Reform Agreement Addendum 2026–31. You will also support system reform priorities, including the ACT Government’s response to key health system reviews.
In this role, you will lead strategic relationships with Canberra Health Services and key stakeholders, provide high-quality, evidence-based advice to senior executives, the Minister, and Government, and strengthen performance frameworks, governance and accountability across the health system. You will also oversee key initiatives such as Activity Based Management, represent the Directorate in local and national forums, and contribute to broader divisional leadership priorities.

Commencing 1 July 2026 all ACTPS Senior Executive Service members are required to exercise the functions of their position in accordance with the closing the gap principle ACT Closing the Gap Implementation Plan - ACT Government Transparency Portal
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $296,877 - $306,035 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $261,668.
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
