Achieve Something Great
Join the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Public Health Unit and contribute to protecting and improving the health of one of Australia's largest and most culturally diverse communities. As a Registered Nurse within the Communicable Diseases Team, you will play a key role in the assessment, management, and prevention of notifiable communicable diseases, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality public health services.
Based in Liverpool CBD, you will be part of a multidisciplinary Public Health Unit that includes Communicable Diseases, Immunisation, Environmental Health, and Administration teams, alongside Doctors, Nurses, Epidemiologists, and Data Quality Administrators dedicated to improving community health outcomes.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking a passionate nurse with a strong interest in public health and communicable disease management who thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment. You will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to use telephone and other communication platforms to gather and convey critical information for the assessment and management of communicable diseases in an engaging, sensitive, and culturally appropriate manner. You will provide advice and support to healthcare professionals, aged care facilities, disability providers, schools, childcare centres, and other community stakeholders, helping to protect people and communities at risk of infection.
If you are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to improving public health across South Western Sydney, this rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference, including participation in after-hours and weekend coverage with medical support.
