The Role:
Reporting to the National Change Lead, the Business Integration Technical Specialist is responsible for leading the technical integration of newly acquired businesses into the Johns Lyng Group technology environment.
Working closely with internal technology, finance and accounting teams, as well as stakeholders within acquired businesses, you will assess existing environments, define integration requirements and coordinate the successful migration of systems, applications, identities and data into Group standards.
This role requires a technically capable and highly organised professional who can balance hands-on delivery, stakeholder engagement and project coordination while working across multiple acquisition projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assess and document the technology environment of newly acquired businesses, including identity, infrastructure, data, applications and accounting systems
- Conduct discovery workshops and define integration requirements, dependencies and project scope
- Develop integration plans, timelines and deployment strategies
- Coordinate technology integration activities across internal teams and acquired business stakeholders
- Plan and execute Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) tenant integrations and migrations
- Manage user, group, licensing and access migrations
- Support the migration and consolidation of data environments while maintaining security and continuity
- Integrate, migrate or rationalise business applications, including accounting and finance systems
- Deliver deployment and cutover activities, including testing, risk management and rollback planning
- Track project milestones, risks, issues and dependencies through to completion
- Maintain integration documentation, runbooks and as-built records
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of integration frameworks, playbooks and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the integration lifecycle
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience leading or delivering technical integrations, migrations or deployment projects
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Strong understanding of identity management, data migration and application integration
- Ability to coordinate stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
- Strong planning, documentation and project delivery capabilities
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities across multiple projects
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
Highly Desirable:
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities
- Project delivery experience using Agile, PRINCE2, PMP or similar methodologies
- Exposure to accounting and finance systems
- Experience operating within multi-entity or geographically dispersed organisations
- Relevant Azure, GCP, Identity or Security certifications
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
