Tanami is one of Australia's most remote and significant underground gold mines, located deep in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory. As a Fixed Plant Control Room Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of fixed plant systems, such as Materials handling, winders, dewatering, ventilation. Working from the control room, you will monitor and coordinate asset performance in real time, supporting production continuity, asset integrity and statutory compliance. This is a role for someone who remains calm under pressure, communicates clearly across teams, and takes a proactive approach to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Monitoring real-time asset performance, responding to equipment issues, delays or deviations and escalating where required to minimise downtime and maintain production continuity.

Maintaining accurate operational records, including shaft activities, delays and maintenance data, ensuring integrity for reporting and compliance purposes.

Acting as the central communication link between surface and underground teams, ensuring clear, timely and accurate information flow.

Supporting emergency response coordination from the control room, following site protocols and maintaining effective communication with field teams.

Collaborating with operations, maintenance and planning teams to support scheduling, shift handovers and daily execution aligned to production targets.
- Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification (preferred).

Demonstrated experience in a mining control room environment, with exposure to material handling systems and shaft operations (ABB winders advantageous).

Strong systems capability, including experience with SCADA (Citect), HMI, Minestar, PI Vision and CMMS systems such as SAP.

Demonstrated underground mining experience, with an understanding of fixed plant and material handling infrastructure.

Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise, collaborate and perform under pressure.
