About the Role
TAFE Gippsland is seeking an experienced Electrical professional to join the team as a Teacher, delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training. In this role, you will plan, deliver and assess vocational education programs that support students to develop practical skills and achieve successful outcomes.
You will contribute to maintaining current and compliant training, support student engagement and progression, and assist with continuous improvement of courses and delivery methods. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, meeting compliance requirements, and participating in team and student-related activities such as enrolments and information sessions.
About You
You are a qualified electrical professional with experience in electrotechnology and hold (or are willing to obtain) a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Qualifications and/or experience in Instrumentation Control are not essential; however, they are highly desirable and will be viewed favourably. You bring current industry knowledge and can effectively apply this in a training environment to support a diverse range of learners.
You have a sound understanding of Training Packages and the VET environment, along with strong organisational and digital skills.
You are reliable, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team. With a practical and supportive approach, you are committed to delivering quality training and maintaining your professional and vocational currency.
Qualifications and experience
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or willingness to complete with support and mentoring
- A Certificate III Electrotechnology qualification or equivalent
- A Certificate III Instrumentation & Control qualification or equivalent (desirable)
- Proven practical industry experience in electrical

Mandatory requirements
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (no older than 12 months old)
