We are seeking an experienced and reliable After-Hours On-Call Officer to support our staff and participants outside of standard business hours. This is a critical role within our organisation, ensuring continuity of support and timely response to urgent matters affecting participants, support workers, and service delivery.
About the Role
As the After-Hours On-Call Officer, you will be the first point of contact for urgent incidents and operational issues that arise outside business hours. You will assess situations, provide guidance to staff, coordinate appropriate responses, and escalate matters when required.
This role requires a calm, professional, and solutions-focused individual who can make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining a strong commitment to participant safety and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to urgent after-hours calls and incidents.
- Support staff with critical operational and participant-related matters.
- Manage staff no-shows and service delivery disruptions.
- Escalate emergencies and critical incidents as required.
- Maintain accurate records and incident documentation.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience within the NDIS and Community Services sector.
- Strong understanding of participant safeguarding, incident management, and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in disability support, service coordination, rostering, or after-hours support.
- Knowledge of NDIS compliance and reportable incident requirements.

Contractor Requirements
- Current ABN.
- Current Public Liability Insurance.
- Current Professional Indemnity Insurance.
