About the role
The Health Information Manager/Clinical Coder plays a vital role in supporting high-quality healthcare through the accurate clinical coding of inpatient episodes using Solventum CodeFinder products and ICD-10-AM/ACHI classification standards.
Working across a diverse and complex casemix, you'll help ensure the integrity of clinical data that supports patient care, hospital funding, reporting, and service planning. You'll also contribute to clinical documentation improvement initiatives and participate in coding and casemix audits to promote quality and best practice.

Key Accountabilities

Code inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM and ACHI in line with Australian Coding Standards.

Participate in regular quality and optimisation audits to ensure coding accuracy.

Engage in team discussions to resolve coding queries and share best practice.

Receive one-on-one support and development from a dedicated Coding Educator.

Support end-of-month processes to ensure timely completion of coding activities.
About You

Knowledge and experience coding inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM and ACHI.

Understanding of Australian Coding Standards, DRG grouper logic, and Policy and Funding Guidelines.

Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Desirable:

Experience using Solventum CodeFinder or other coding software.

Previous coding experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
