At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for an experienced Social Worker Level 3 to join our dedicated Inpatient Social Work team.
About the Opportunity
As a Social Worker Level 3 - Inpatient Senior Clinician, you will provide advanced, person-centred psychosocial care to patients and their families across our inpatient services. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through illness, trauma, and complex life circumstances while helping to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
This position also provides clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to social work staff and students, while contributing to service development and continuous improvement across the district.
In this role you will:

Deliver comprehensive psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, counselling, advocacy, case planning, and referrals to support patients and their families.

Provide expert clinical advice and leadership while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.

Support and mentor social work staff and students through clinical supervision, education, and professional development.

Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Significant clinical social work experience with demonstrated expertise in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and complex case management within a health setting.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Demonstrated leadership experience, including the supervision and mentoring of staff and students within a multidisciplinary environment.

A commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed care, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality services that support better outcomes for patients and their families.
