Cairns Hospital is the largest major referral hospital in Far North Queensland, providing specialized health services and comprehensive care to patients from the Torres Strait to Tully. Our population is 260,000 with First Nations people making up 14% of the region's population. Cairns Hospital provides a range of specialist outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services from its CBD site on the Cairns Esplanade and has over 500 inpatient beds.
Your Role:
Recording and interpreting clinical observations and healthcare data
Recognising and communicating changes in patient's conditions to the RN and formulate next steps of care. Provide direct patient care in the emergency department's lower acuity areas for both adult and paediatric patients within an overseeing Registered Nurse (RN)
Attend to routine personal cares, including assistance with activities of daily living
Administer oral and intravenous medications in line with the medication administration policy.
