At KIMINO, our concept is centred around sharing Japanese craftsmanship and bringing a little more joy and quality to people’s everyday lives.
We offer homemade baked goods, carefully prepared coffee, and a selection of ceramics handcrafted by Japanese artists. In particular, our pour-over coffees sourced from Japanese roasters and matcha sourced directly from Uji, Kyoto have become favourites among many of our customers.
We’re very grateful to have been named one of Brisbane’s Best New Cafes 2024 and also recognised by Good Food as one of the Best Coffee spots in Brisbane. Thanks to all the support, we’re welcoming more customers than ever.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a new barista to join the KIMINO team and help us take the quality of both our coffee and service to an even higher level.
We’re looking for someone who can work 2–3 fixed shifts per week and who:
- At least 1 year of experience as a specialty coffee barista
- Genuinely enjoys customer service and hospitality
- Can consistently make high-quality coffee in a busy environment
- Is friendly, positive and a good communicator (strong English skills are preferred)
- Is available to start work from 5:30am
Hospitality is very important to us. While we’re advertising this position as a Barista role, KIMINO is a small cafe, so the role isn’t limited to making coffee. Depending on what’s happening in the cafe, we’ll also ask you to help with taking orders, clearing tables, serving customers and other general cafe duties.
Before applying, please make sure you’re able to get to KIMINO and start work at 5:30am.
If you’re interested in joining us, please send your resume to [email protected]. We’d also love to hear a little bit about yourself, and if you have any photos of latte art you’ve made, please feel free to include those too.
Pay: From $26.44 per hour
Work Location: In person
