About the Role
- Lead and manage your designated section, ensuring the consistent delivery of premium, contemporary Chinese cuisine to the highest standard.
- Execute dishes with precision, maintaining exceptional quality, presentation, and portion control during service.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and senior team to uphold the restaurant’s culinary vision and operational excellence.
- Supervise and support junior team members within your section, fostering efficiency, communication, and professional growth.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and WH&S standards while ensuring a clean, organised, and high-performing workstation
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef within a premium dining environment, ideally with strong exposure to contemporary or traditional Chinese cuisine.
- Formal Training: A recognised qualification in Commercial Cookery is essential, with a strong grasp of classical techniques, kitchen operations, and section management.
Safety & Hygiene Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of WH&S regulations and food safety standards, with the ability to consistently maintain and enforce best practices within your section.
- Commitment to Excellence: A genuine passion for culinary craft, creativity in execution, and a drive to continuously refine skills while contributing positively to team performance and kitchen culture.
