Your new role:
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to provide strategic leadership in medicines management and medication safety across Metro South Health, supporting clinicians to deliver safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care. You will:
Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of organisation-wide medicines management initiatives, policies and clinical guidelines.
Drive medication safety, quality improvement and clinical innovation projects that improve prescribing practices and patient outcomes.
Provide expert clinical advice to senior leaders, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders on complex medication management matters.
Develop education programs, lead service improvements, contribute to research, and support the governance of medicines across Metro South Health.
About you:
You're an experienced and influential pharmacist who is passionate about improving medication safety and leading positive change within a complex healthcare environment. You will bring:
Advanced knowledge of contemporary medication management, evidence-based prescribing and relevant legislation, standards and policies.
Proven experience leading complex clinical projects, service improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary stakeholder engagement.
Exceptional communication, leadership and change management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
A commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare outcomes.

Unit Profile
The Medicines Management Committee is a multidisciplinary committee designed to provide overall governance of medicines within the Metro South Hospital and Health Service. The committee is made up of clinicians who are leaders in the medicines management system. The committee exists to facilitate consistent, evidence-based decision making and oversight of medicines within MSH to promote safe and quality use of medicines.
