Experienced Fruit Farm Worker NEEDED
BT Trading and Contracting Pty Ltd was established in 2025 and operates an integrated horticultural production and harvest services business across multiple regions in Australia, including farming operations in the Northern Territory. The business operates approximately 120 acres of farmland in the Northern Territory used for the cultivation of horticultural crops, including table grapes, melons and honey dew.
We are seeking an experienced Fruit Farm Worker to support our ongoing farming operations and assist with crop cultivation, harvesting and general farm maintenance duties. This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual.
Location: Alice Springs, NT
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
· Undertakes a range of routine duties on a fruit farm, including preparing and fertilising soil, cultivating land, and planting, irrigating and pruning crops.
· Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on crop conditions, planting trees, seeds, seedlings, bulbs, vines and other produce using both hand tools and farm machinery, and carrying out general crop maintenance such as thinning, weeding, hoeing and pruning.
· Applies pesticides and other treatments to crops to control weeds, pests, fungi and diseases, and operates irrigation and water supply systems to support crop growth.
· Erecting and maintaining structures such as trellises, fencing, netting and greenhouses (where required)
· Additional responsibilities include grading, packing, bunching, baling and loading produce for transportation.
· Maintains and cleans farming infrastructure and equipment, including sheds, fences, irrigation systems and machinery.
· Operates and services general farm machinery and specialised equipment used for cultivation, fertilising, spraying and harvesting activities, and may also operate farm technology and data collection systems.
Experience
· Holds at least an AQF Certificate I or completed relevant on the job training or compulsory secondary education
· Have at least 1 year full time work experience (or equivalent)
· Previous experience and strong technical knowledge in this industry are preferred.

Annual salary package: $68,000 per annum plus superannuation
Pay: $68,000.00 per year
