About the Role
As a Graduate Lawyer, you will work closely with experienced solicitors to provide legal support across a broad range of matters. You will progressively build the skills and confidence required to manage your own files while receiving ongoing supervision and mentoring.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, technology, and working within systems designed for efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Independent Legal Advice
- Attend client appointments (video and in-person)
- Assist with Independent Legal Advice matters
- Review mortgage and loan documents
- Prepare Independent Legal Advice Certificates
- Complete client identification procedures (VOI)
- Maintain accurate file notes and compliance records
Conveyancing Support
- Assist with residential conveyancing transactions
- Prepare legal documents
- Liaise with clients, brokers, lenders and agents
- Monitor settlement timelines
- Support PEXA transactions (training provided)
General Legal Work
- Conduct legal research
- Draft correspondence
- Prepare contracts and legal documents
- Communicate with clients professionally
- Manage files from commencement to completion
- Maintain file compliance
Client Service
- Respond promptly to client enquiries
- Explain legal processes in plain English
- Deliver exceptional client experiences
- Work collaboratively with administrative staff
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Recently admitted solicitor (or eligible for admission)
- Current NSW Practising Certificate (or eligibility)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of professionalism
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent computer literacy
Desirable:
- Experience in conveyancing
- Experience in property law
- Experience using PEXA
- Experience with LEAP, Smokeball or similar practice management software
- Interest in technology and AI
- Experience with client-facing roles
