Role Description
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to client properties and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Acting as a client champion, the Facilities Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders. This role encompasses a range of property-related responsibilities, as required by the client and detailed below.
This role is a fixed term contract role based in Sydney office
Manage the delivery of planned, reactive, and minor works maintenance programs across a portfolio of client sites, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and service standards.
Support the Regional Operations Manager in delivering asset maintenance strategies, lifecycle programs, and property asset plans for school facilities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
Oversee contractor and vendor performance, procurement activities, and work order management to ensure services are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Coordinate facilities operations, including site inspections, contractor inductions, access management, and technical facilities support.
Monitor operational performance, analyse maintenance data, and prepare reports to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and continuous improvement outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness through innovative facilities management solutions and best practice.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements, including WHS, fire safety, risk management, business continuity, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate asset information, maintenance schedules, and property records while supporting client reporting requirements.
Provide leadership and operational support for facilities management activities, including after-hours assistance, incident management, and critical environment maintenance when required.
General knowledge of building assets within commercial or residential properties, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the building or facilities industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint, and other digital systems, with strong computer literacy.
Demonstrated ability to learn and utilise facilities management systems and technology platforms effectively.
