About the Role
The Senior Production Operator works closely with the Leading Hands and Supervisors, and plays an important role in the day-to-day manufacture of Civilmart’s concrete products, including large pipes and box culverts. This role involves working as part of the production team to operate machinery such as the Cage Making Machine, prepare moulds, pour and finish concrete, and carry out general production and housekeeping tasks.
What you'll be doing
You will be required to perform these and other duties as assigned, in line with your skills, training, and experience:
Follow Civilmart’s inventory procedures and accurately track materials and components.
Operate and maintain MBK cage-making machines, wire straighteners, and reinforcing equipment.
Assist with mould assembly, stripping, cleaning, and preparation for production.
Render and finish concrete products using appropriate hand tools.
Operate and maintain forklifts and other mobile equipment safely.
Carry out minor repairs to products, moulds, and tools under supervision.
Work flexibly across the production line and support other operators as needed.
Use hand and power tools safely and comply with all PPE requirements.
Perform basic quality checks on your work and, when required, verify others’ work.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Understand basic product plans, specifications, and workflow processes.
Assist with training new or less experienced employees.
Complete basic inventory tasks and maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas.
Participate in production activities and perform additional duties as directed.
- Proven experience in production or manufacturing (precast or construction materials experience highly regarded).
