The Hervey Bay RSL is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast. The Club is the premier entertainment venue in the region experiencing growth in Hervey Bay.
The RSL has a free courtesy bus service that we provide for our members and guests to get them to and from the Club.
The Club's facilities include:- 280 gaming machines, 4 bars, TAB and Keno, billiards and pool tables, child care centre, bottleshop, 3 functions rooms, 180 seat restaurant, 160 seat deck and 100 seat cafe.

About the Role ...
We are looking for an experienced Security Person who have a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills to ensure the patrons have a pleasant experience at our venue
The Security person report to the Floor Managers, key responsibilities will include:

Customer service - maintaining a courteous and professional demeanour with all members and guests, meet and greet

Communicating effectively with relevant personnel

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): Monitoring for intoxication and ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations.

Performing basic ID checks and reporting any issues to the floor manager

Access Control and Safety: Managing entry by checking IDs, managing patron behavior, and ensuring a safe environment for patrons and staff.

Conflict De-escalation: Preventing, identifying, and responding to dangerous or anti-social situations, with a focus on de-escalation before physical intervention.

Emergency Response: Assisting in emergency situations, including evacuation procedures.

Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential threats, such as illegal drug use, and maintaining order in high-volume, high-risk environments.

Documentation: Keeping records of incidents and people of interest to identify trends and ensure compliance.
This role has casual hours, with a weekly roster. Shifts range from Mid day shifts to very late finishing times.
Must be available days, nights, weekends, public holidays and split shifts.
About you …
As someone with previous experience, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will have a willingness to build long-term relationships with our members and will have impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills.
To be considered for this role, you MUST have relevant experience, skills and knowledge of the local area and required certificates.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience

Current Security license

Current First Aid Certificate

Current RSA and RSG statement of attainments

Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment
