About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our busy kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will play an important role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our food while working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, cook, and present Asian cuisine in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
· Prepare ingredients and ensure food is cooked to the required specifications.
· Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
· Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering of kitchen supplies.
· Inspect food products to ensure freshness and quality.
· Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
· Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
· Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:
· At least one year of relevant full-time work experience as a Cook or
· A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher) with relevant industry experience.
· Experience preparing Asian cuisine is highly desirable.
· Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
· Good organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong commitment to food safety and hygiene practices.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
