Passion Disability Support Services is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Male Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to NDIS participants across Brisbane.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Provide personal care and daily living assistance
- Support participants with community access and social engagement
- Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication prompts
- Implement positive behaviour support strategies where required
- Maintain accurate shift notes and documentation
- Promote participant choice, independence, and dignity
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in Disability Support or Aged Care
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (preferred)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable insured vehicle
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Current National Police Check
- Working rights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability for weekdays, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays (preferred)
Desirable
- Experience with manual handling, personal care, and medication administration
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, or high-intensity needs
- Knowledge of person-centred and trauma-informed support
