Full-time, On-site Position
Sydney Helicopters is seeking an experienced Bell 412 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1.3 / B2) to join our team at our base in Nepean Aerospace Park, Castlereagh, NSW.
About the Role:
This full-time, on-site role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell 412 aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and component replacements in accordance with regulatory and company standards. You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and avionics issues, complete test procedures, and ensure aircraft systems operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate maintenance records, certifying airworthiness, coordinating with operations and pilots, and supporting both hangar and line maintenance activities. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, participation in continuous improvement initiatives, and occasional after-hours or weekend work to meet operational needs.
Key Requirements:
Strong aircraft maintenance experience and competence working on rotary-wing aircraft, with Bell 412 experience highly preferred.
Proficiency in aircraft and aircraft systems, including inspection, repair, and functional testing.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues.
Solid understanding of airworthiness requirements, regulations, and compliance documentation.
CASA B1.3 and/or B2 licence (or equivalent), with a type rating on Bell 412 highly desirable.
Knowledge of aviation safety standards, SMS principles, and quality assurance practices.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance data, and engineering drawings.
Effective communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work flexible hours and support operational demands.
Remuneration:
Competitive salary of $100,000 – $150,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience and expertise.
