We offer casual and part-time positions with a desirable daytime schedule from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

About the RoleAs a Cook or Chef in our open kitchen, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals efficiently while working in a dynamic space. You will handle everything from morning prep work, such as crafting fresh wraps and toasties, to managing high-volume line cooking during peak periods. This role requires versatility across various equipment including flat-top grills, Unox ovens, and deep fryers.
Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to Stellarossa recipes and standards.

Manage prep work including grab-and-go items like wraps and toasted sandwiches.

Execute line cooking under tight timeframes using grills, ovens, and fryers.

Ensure every dish meets our "Instagram-worthy" plating aesthetic.

Accommodate dietary requirements and modifications such as vegan or gluten-free options.

Maintain strict food safety standards, including temperature logging and FIFO rotation.

Keep the kitchen and workstations clean, sanitized, and organized.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Strong knife skills and the ability to perform consistent prep work quickly.

Excellent understanding of portion control and recipe adherence to minimize waste.

A keen eye for modern food presentation and plating aesthetics.

Mastery of food safety regulations and organized stock management (FIFO).

Ability to work effectively in an open kitchen environment.

Availability for shifts between 7:30am and 4:00pm, including weekends.
