About Us
Alfred's Maths Tutoring is a maths-specialised, achievement-focused tuition centre in Eastwood, a short walk from Eastwood Station. Since 2009 we have helped many students reach their best through structured teaching. We do not use generic textbooks. Every lesson is built on custom-written booklets created in-house, so there is no need to source or prepare your own resources and no unpaid planning time.
We are a family-owned business that has grown steadily over the years. In Term 2 this year we moved into a new, larger centre to support our growth, and we are now expanding our teaching team. You will work alongside Alfred, our founder and a former NSW high school teacher with over 15 years of experience. This is not a casual one-off gig. We are building a serious, long-term teaching team, and there is real opportunity here to take on more classes and responsibility over time.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Maths tutor to teach students from Year 3 to Year 12. You will work with motivated students in small, focused classes (maximum 6 students). Depending on your strengths and experience, we will work with you to decide which year levels and classes you take on.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong mathematics background across primary and high school content
- Teaching qualification preferred (NESA accreditation a plus)
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience
- A reliable, professional and caring approach to students
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check (essential)
- Bilingual ability in Korean or Chinese is a bonus for parent communication, but not required
Hours
- Part-time.
- Classes run weekday afternoons and evenings from around 3:00pm to 8:30pm, busiest from 4:30pm, plus Saturday mornings.
- Days and hours are flexible depending on the classes you take on.

Please apply through Indeed with your resume and a short note about your teaching experience and the year levels you are most confident teaching.
