PSG is currently searching for a Junior Fire Systems Designer for our National Design Office based in Chatswood, Sydney. This position will be full-time and will include ongoing training in fire systems design.
This role will require the ability to read, understand and apply Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia in fire services designs. A successful applicant will also require a functional level of skill with Autocad software.
Key Responsibilities:
· Study of Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia
· Application of the above in Fire System Designs
· Use of Autocad and Revit software (Revit training provided)
· Some administrative work in service of Fire Services projects
· Assist in Fire Services project quotation work
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Software: Functional use of Autocad
- Attention to detail: Ability to accurately and thoroughly record information.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Customer service skills: Ability to interact with clients and provide excellent customer service.
- Self-Starter & Team Player - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
